This 750 acre preserve shelters quail, pheasant and dove. Hunting is permitted
in season. The Forebay also provides boating, fishing and picnicking. A Kids
Fishing Day is held each May.
Pacheco State Park

900 acres of wooded grassy terrain. Primarily a deer habitat. Hunting, during
season, is restricted to shotguns and bows and arrows. Annual Kite Day is held
in June.
San Luis Wildlife Refuge

Los Banos
7,430 acres of marsh grass upland and wooded sloughs and streams. Wildlife
obsveration, photography, hunting and fishing are on this refuge 8 miles north
of Los Banos. Main attraction is a large, fenced enclosure which houses a colony
of tule elk.
Volta Wildlife Refuge
Most of the 2800 acres of this emergent marsh is open for hunting during season,
bird watching and fishing.
